Yes, i have written several guides on things you need to know when you first start out using Joomla. There is also 1 more advanced guide about setting up some SEO friendly URLs. I  was going to post them here first, but then I figured it was going to be a bunch of guides and probably more to come soon, so I started a whole new site for it.
